Hollow knight silksong blog12/2/2023 It sounds as though it may be a while before we get to play through Hornet’s adventure. The release date for the game has not been set, but Team Cherry did announce that it will be coming to PC via Steam, GoG and the Humble Store as well as Nintendo Switch. Upon completion of the game, there will be a Challenge Silk Soul mode that will create an entirely new experience for you to play through and put your skills to the ultimate test. One of Hollow Knight’s standout features was the accompanying orchestral score, and the developers have confirmed that Christopher Larken, the award-winning composer of the original, will be returning to score Hollow Knight: Silksong as well. Team Cherry have described some of these new locations as, “coral forests, mossy grottos, gilded cities and misted moors” amongst many others, as seen in the trailer. There will also be quests to fulfill that will have you hunting down rare beasts and unearthing ancient mysteries across the variety of new landscapes. The trailer also touts over 150 new enemies to encounter on your adventure, including epic new boss battles that will truly test your skill. You’ll play as Hornet in Hollow Knight: Silksong It has been confirmed that you will be able to craft new tools, abilities and traps as well. You may recognize a few of her signature moves, but she has an entirely new arsenal of acrobatic abilities to utilize in the upcoming title. You may recall encountering her a few times in the original game, and she is just as deadly in Hollow Knight: Silksong. In the trailer, it’s apparent that Hornet is much more agile than The Knight of the first title. Hollow Knight: Silksong was originally slated as DLC for Hollow Knight, but the developers noted in a blog post yesterday that, “almost from the very start, Hornet’s adventure was intended to take place in a new land, but as we dove in, it quickly became too large and too unique to stay a DLC, as initially planned.” This does delay the game a bit beyond their original expectations, but they assure us that the wait will be worthwhile. The new game will follow the main character, Hornet, as she navigates an entirely-new haunted kingdom. In a pleasant surprise yesterday, Team Cherry dropped the trailer for Hollow Knight: Silksong, the upcoming sequel to 2017’s indie game hit, Hollow Knight.
